It was just a few minutes until ten thirty and Joe was on the beach waiting for cherry in a pair of board shirts and a plain black t-shit, sitting by a fire that he had set up to make it easier to stay warm and to help Cherry find him when she arrived. Sitting on the blanket he had brought along he was just listening to his head phones, not really paying attention as he looked away from the water and back toward the road, not a single person in sight which wasn't shocking because the beach was technically closed.
At his side was his backpack which had in it a bottle of vodka, another of peach schnapps and one last little surprise as well as some rubbing alcohol and cotton balls to clean after she had pierced him. He had also stuffed some water in just because it was a good idea.
Glancing down at his phones clock he saw that it was almost ten thirty, he was starting to get impatient because it really bothered him to wait for anyone, even if it was for a date with someone that he found as attractive as Cherry.
"Five more minutes then I go into the water." Joseph muttered to himself, she wold still be able to find the fire with him swimming.

Cherry didn't take very long getting ready...then again, she never really did. Even if it was for a date, or even if she were supposed to be going somewhere fancy. The thing that took her the longest was probably digging through all her clothes for an hour before she found her bikini. She liked swimming a lot...even if she wasn't the kind of person who swam 24/7, so she was kind of excited. Plus she was going to get to pierce him, which was double exciting...for some absurd reasons he couldn't even begin to explain, even to herself.
She threw it on, glad it still fit. Then again, she hadn't gained or lost any weight since the last time she wore it, so she wasn't really surprised. She then threw on some clothes over it, hardly paying any attention to what they were, slipped on her shoes, made sure her hair wasn't too messy, and threw on some make up. She was already kind late, considering that she had to walk. Not that she really minded walking, walking was good.
Once she was good and ready she then started to walk to the beach, which wasn't that far, but she still didn't get there until about ten thirty-three, according to her cell phone. But no one can actually consider three minutes late as actually being late, unless they were completely insane, or something. Once she got there she saw the fire immediately, and started walking towards it. "Hey." She said, sitting down. She didn't know if they were going to swim first, or do the piercing first, or what. "Sorry I'm a little late." She shrugged a little bit, hoping he wasn't the kind of person who was going to totally freak out at her for being three minutes late...that would really annoy her.

Well she had made it just before he had been getting ready to get up and go into the water, he had dipped his feet into it earlier and it hadn't to bad, just a little bit chilly and that wasn't anything to complain about. Given a few minutes in the water and he would be warm; plus it would give him a chance to offer to keep her warm. That was always a pretty decent thing to offer when someone was a bit chilly.
"Don't worry about it." Joseph said with a smile, not showing the fact that he was annoyed by the fact she was a little bit behind, he always tended to be anal retentive when it came to people showing up on time to meet him even when he hardly ever paid any attention to showing up on time for others. His time was important so he would use it however he wanted but others shouldn't waste even a second of it. "I just got here a few minutes meself and was enjoying the fire."
He smirked a little bit as he pulled the bottles of booze out of the backpack that he had brought along. "You hung up before I could ask your preference on booze so I brought what I managed to sneak along with me, some peach Schnapps and some vodka." Both were strong stuff though the schnapps didn't taste nearly as strong. "So you wanna swim first and then we can pierce me... after a few drinks."

Cherry couldn't help but smile as he pulled the drinks out of his backpack. She liked just about anything as long as it didn't taste completely revolting...like beer. Beer was just so redneck, and gross, and it wasn't even strong. What's the point of drinking something completely gross if it wasn't at least a little bit strong? There was none. "Good choices. I love peach schnapps" She said, nodding a little bit. It was a fairly warm night, which was why she hadn't worn a jacket...that, and the fact that if they were just going to go swimming there wasn't really a point in bringing one. Then again, she'd probably be really cold after, so maybe it hadn't been the smartest idea ever.
"Okay, sounds good." She shrugged a little bit, not really caring in what order they did things. Although it was probably a good idea to do the piercing last, as if not it could get infected from the water, or something. Plus drinks should go first...alcohol makes everything funner. So maybe she did care what order they did things.
"How cold is the water?" She asked, curiously. She didn't really care all that much...but swimming in freezing cold water didn't exactly sound all that inviting...or inviting at all, really. It wasn't like she hated cold water, or anything, but no one really wants to swim in freezing cold water...with the exception of insane people, of course.

Since Joseph doubted that she was the type to be nice and pretend to like his choice of drink just to be friendly to him he assumed that she really did like peach schnapps, which was good news because it was his favorite non mixed drink, although apple was also pretty good. It wasn't all that weak but it could be downed without any chaser or anything mixed in with it, it could even be used to chase something else like the vodka he brought. "Good choice then." He chuckled as he cracked open the bottle of schnapps.
Taking a quick swig from the bottle he held it out to her, not bothering to try to savor it, if he didn't start drinking right then it would hurt like a massive bitch then time came for the needle to go through his nipple. "Have a drink first, booze tends to make everything more fun."
When she asked how cold the water he just shrugged a little bit. "Really the water is a little bit chilly but if we give it a few minutes then we will get used to it, and when we get out the fire will help." It wasn't to big at that moment but there was some spare wood nearby so it could be made bigger once they got out.

Cherry took the bottle from him, and gulped some down. It was good, and she probably could have drank the whole bottle...but she didn't really want to do that, so she took another drink, then passed it back to him. She wasn't a germophobe, or anything, but she hoped he didn't have any disease's...then again, she highly doubted he did. It was kind of a stupid thought in the first place... "Thanks." She said, shooting him a little bit of a smile. The fact that she had even said thanks surprised herself...she couldn't remember the last time she'd thanked anyone for anything, but she was sure it was a long time ago.
She shrugged a bit, trying to seem as though she didn't really care that much. "Okay." She was glad that they had a fire going, as it probably would help once they got out...not that she could actually complain. She was, after all, the one who agreed to this. She hadn't even had any second thoughts about it, either...but maybe that was just because she definitely didn't have anything better to do.
She looked around the beach, hoping they wouldn't get in trouble for this. Shew knew it was obviously closed...but she highly doubted they would actually get caught. Then again,t hey did have a fire, maybe someone would see it from their houses, or something, and call the police. That would kind of suck.

She really knew how to get that schnapps down, if she kept drinking she could get really wasted but he hoped that didn't happen, no challenge to try to get into a girls pants when they were drunk, and no challenge meant no fun... well less fun. To make sure that it stayed fair he took another gulp from it before peeling his shirt off with a grin, glad that he now had a great excuse to do so. "Hey, I brought the booze for both of us so you really don't have to thank me for it, I am going to be enjoying it to." And the little bit to drink would help to keep him warm in the water which was nice until he started to get warmer on his own.
"This beach is pretty nice." He pointed out as he kicked off his sandles and stood up, stretching his legs a little bit before turning to head to the water. "There aren't to many shells under the water so it is comfortable to stand in." He always got a bit annoyed when the shells under the water stuck into his feet, he even had a scar on the bottom of his foot from a day on the beach in main.
As he was turning to go into the water he saw her looking around. "Don't worry, I am sure any police have more important things to do then stand around and make sure there aren't any attractive teenagers hanging out on the beach having a good time. Now come on, I'm not going in the water alone."

Cherry couldn't help but stare a little bit as he took off his shirt. He hadn't been lying...what she saw was very impressing, very impressing indeed. She made sure not to stare for more than a second, though, not wanting to seem like some kind of creep, or something...then again, he probably got it all the time. To distract herself she took off her own shirt, which was over her bikini top. She wasn't exactly modest about her body, as there wasn't very much to it...she also wasn't completely stick figured, but she sometimes wished she had a few more curves. Then again, at least she wasn't fat, or anything. She then kicked off her shoes, and slid off her jeans, feeling the slightly cool night air hit her skin.
"Good. Shells are annoying." She said, following him over to the water. She had to admit, it was going to be fun, swimming at night. Or at least she assumed it would be...she'd never actually done it before, but in all the movies it looked fun. Of course those people were usually skinny dipping...or just breaking into a public pool. But either way this was bound to be at least slightly less boring than sitting in her room.
She nodded a little bit about his comment about the police, glad that he had said it, but also figuring he was probably right. Teenagers probably did this all the time. She stepped into the water, which she had to admit was pretty cold...at least to her. She only went in enough to get her feet wet, before glancing at Joe. "It's not that cold." She said, with a shrug, even though she was kind of lying...it was pretty damn cold.

He definitely noticed her staring and grinned wide, he knew that his hard work paid off and it always made him happy to see evidence of it first hand. Her staring at him was almost as enjoyable as the moment that her own shirt came off, true it was a tad bit disappointing to see that she was wearing a bikini under her clothing, he had hoped she might try to catch him by surprise and skinny dip. He really should have known better.
But her body was just like what he thought it would be, she was his type to the letter, while some would say tinny the word he would chose is petite or slim. He didn't bother to hide the fact that he was staring at her.
"Understatement of the year." He muttered as he thought back to when it had happened, the sudden sharp pain and the bloom of red that quickly spread through the slightly murky water. It had only taken a few stitches to fix it but it wasn't something that he would ever forget.
As she stood at the edge just getting her feet wet Joseph ran past her, his long legs easily carrying him past the foam of the close breaking waves, it was definitly a bit chillier then what he really would have liked but not all that bad, before long he was out far enough so that the water was just above his waist. "Come on Cherry." He called out to her. "It gets better when you are deeper in."

Cherry sighed a little bit, crossing her arms. She knew she wasn't going to get away with just staying there with her feet in the water, but it was worth a try, anyway. "You're completely insane." She said, shaking her head a little bit, though she took a few steps deeper in. The water was only up to her shins, but she was already much colder, and not just the tiny part of her that was in the water, strangely, but her entire body. She took a few more steps, slowly. He hadn't been lying, there weren't all that many sea shells, which was good. She didn't want to get out because she stepped on one and it cut her, or something...although that would have been a good excuse to get out of it. Then again, part of her wanted to keep going...and of course she listened to that part.
"Why we couldn't have done this during the day is a mystery to me..." She muttered to herself, still walking in slowly. She didn't even bother to glance at Joe to see if he was annoyed by her slowness, as she didn't really care. She wasn't just going to go out there like he did...plus, for all she knew there was a drop off, or something. Even though she could swim she knew from experience that walk into a drop off was never fun, especially when you stood at the short height of 5'4.
When she finally got to where he was standing it was quite a bit deeper to her than it was to him, but she didn't really care. "Happy?" She asked, with a sigh. She had to admit she was starting to get kind of used to the water, but it was still cold to her. Plus she didn't want to get her hair wet...not that it was great looking on that day, but her hair always looked absolutely horrible when it was wet.

He just smiled at her accusation of mental stability, jumping up and down a little bit to get warmer before dunking his entire body under, coming back up a few seconds later shaking the water from his face and hair. "Trust me Cherry, once you get in deeper and get your body acclimated to the temperature it will be much better." Then as if realizing what a geek he sounded like when he said that he added. "If you are still cold when you get to me then I am sure that I will find something to help you with that." Once more he was just going straight forward with what he was thinking, for no reason other then the fact that it was just who he was.
He barely heard what she had said, but he had heard it. "Well if we had come during the day it might have been warmer but we would have had people all around us watching everything we did... and that kind of thing cramps my style." In all honesty it really didn't, get deep enough in the water and people wouldn't be able to get a good look at what they were up to. "Besides, it is so much better to be here late at night when it is technically against the rules."
Now that she was out closer to him things were going to get a lot more interesting as he took a quick agressive step toward her. "Still cold?" He asked with a twisted little grin spreading over his face. "Because if you are then I would happily offer to keep you warm."

Maybe it was judgmental of her, but she was kind of surprised at what he said. He just kept surprising her, over and over again. First he was a fan of fine literature, and now he was telling her about how her body was going to acclimate to the temperature? It was like surprise after surprise after surprise...and she liked it. He wasn't boring in the least, which was good...even though Cherry didn't usually get bored too easily, boring people were never too fun to hang out with for long periods of time. yet all she said in response was, "I'm sure you can."
She laughed a little bit at his next comment, but didn't say anything back...mostly because she wasn't sure what to say. Everything that popped into her mind was sarcastic, and sarcastic and...sarcastic. She was a very sarcastic person, but she never really cared until times like these. Times when the only thing she could think of to say to people was either sarcastic, or bitter, or just rude.
As he stepped closer to her she couldn't help but smile a little bit. Just a little smile, it didn't even start to match the grin he was wearing, but it was a smile nonetheless. "I'm a little cold." She said, raising her eyebrows a little bit. She actually was quite cold, despite the fact that she was starting to get used to the water. "What are you going to do to keep me warm? Any ideas?" She let her eyes sweep over him, momentarily...guys like this never seemed to be interested in her back home...but that's probably just because those were the kind she was the most interested in.

Her first response hadn't been responded to at all, since she had been getting close he felt that it might be better to wait to just show her, actions speaking louder then words and what not.
He was surprised that she didn't have any sarcastic or otherwise rude remarks about what he had said, maybe something about a lack of style which would have left her wide open if he was feeling a little bit catty. And also no comment about how he was esentially just breaking the rules because it was something to do not because there was much of a point to it, at least not enough to make it a second point on its own.
No smart ass comment, nothing about how he should keep himself warm, the only thing that kept it from being disappointingly easy was the fact that he was
A) cold enough to want to take advantage of any warmth he could get and B) was so attracted to her that at the moment a challenge was the very last thing on his mind, the very very last.
"Oh a few ideas spring to mind." He smirked before putting both hands on her hips to pull her close to him, his thumbs running over her piercings, he knew from experience that areas that were pierced could often be much more sensitive. He started to lean in as if to kiss her but at the last moment quickly spun her around and pressed his body against her back, giving her a very clear feeling just how aroused he was at the moment. "The only question is if you think you can keep up." He murmured against the side of her neck before nipping at her exposed shoulder.

Cherry allowed herself to be pulled close to him, she'd had a feeling that was coming, and she was actually hoping it would be...the cold only being one reason. Her piercings, while sensitive, were not overly sensitive, so it didn't hurt when he ran his fingers over them. On the contrary, it felt good. She was glad she'd met this guy...very glad. If she was going to be stuck here she needed something to do...
As he started leaning in to kiss her she closed her eyes expectantly, looking very much forward to the kiss she thought was coming. She opened her eyes in surprise as she felt him spinning around around, and heard her breath catch. This wasn't foreign to her, not in the least...she'd known guys for five minutes before engaging in worse activity than their current. Of course most of the time she'd been completely trashed, but that didn't really matter. She leaned against him a little bit, hardly feeling cold anymore, oddly enough. Not that she was about to say so, or anything...definitely not.
"I think I can keep up..." She murmured back, not wanting to break the mood with loud voices. Although her voice sounded slightly nervous. She hoped Joe didn't notice it...it was just that she hadn't done anything like this since what happened with her father. But she wanted this...she liked Joe, even if she'd only known him for a few days...even if they'd only hung out one time before this. It wasn't like time had mattered before, it didn't matter now...she wasn't going to let what he father did ruin anything for her, not if she could help it.

The fact that she had closed her eyes put a small smirk on his face as he continued to nip at random points of her neck and shoulder, slowly grinding himself against her back while his hands continued to squeeze her hips. "I have wanting to do this to you since I first laid eyes on you." He muttered into her ear before kissing right below the lobe. Already with he was feeling warmer just pressing himself against her.
It was tempting for a moment to dunk her under the water, thinking that the wet hair might look sexy but he decided against it, pissing her off at this point really wasn't such a good idea.
"Glad you think you can keep up, it would be a disappointment if you were to let down my expectations." He whispered, taunting as he used a hand on her chin to lift her head a bit and twisted his own to brush his lips against hers. "And I really hate to be disappointed."
