It had been a few days since Joe had hung out with Cherry, he knew that by some kind of odd protocol he was supposed to wait at least two more before calling her but he had grown so incredibly bored that he didn't care. Besides it was a Friday, as good a day as any to call her up and tell her that if she wanted to pierce him and then go out tonight would work perfectly.
So stretched out on his bed he dialed 546-542-4564 and waited for her to pick up.

It had been a few days ago that she and Joe had hung out, and since then nothing out of the ordinary had happened. She didn't really know when he would call, as it hadn't been specified, but she didn't think it would be for a while. She was sitting on her bed reading a book, and she jumped a little bit as her phone started ringing loudly. It was an unknown number, so she wasn't exactly sure who it was, but she had a feeling it was Joe...it wasn't like she had many people calling her, or anything.
"Hello?" She said, answering the phone in her usual bored voice.

She sounded as bored as she had when he had spent the day with his, not that she had sounded that way the entire time.
"Hey Cherry." He made an effort to copy her tone as he stared at the celing. "I just got to thinking about you, me, and a needle gun... you busy tonight?"

Her suspicions were correct about who was calling her, not that she was surprised. She knew it would either be him or some robot talking about her car insurance on a car she didn't even have.
"Um, nope, not busy at all." She said, sitting up. Her voice was slightly less emotionless, as she had to admit she was a bit excited.

If Joe was to take a guess he would say that she was a bit happy at the idea of heading out, at the very least she sounded a little bit less apathetic.
"How about meeting me at Coleridge beach tonight then, say at ten thirty?" He asked with a small grin, he had checked out the beach the day before as a place to swim and the water was surprisingly warm. "Its a bit warm for this time of year so we could swim for a bit before you stick me."

She smiled a little bit, at the thought of swimming at night. She'd never actually done it...but she did like swimming, and it sounded fun. "Okay, sounds good." She agreed. She was hoping he was right about the temperature of the water, as she really didn't like cold water...and a swim sounded fun. [/blockquote]

Well he had been right, she wasn't the type to be afraid of the water at night, not that Coleridge beach had been to rough when he had checked it out, he knew some people surfed it but the water wasn't nearly rough enough to get a good wave.
"Ok I will see you there at ten thirty then, I will be the guy with a fire going, wear a swim suit... or don't."

Cherry started to roll her eyes a little bit before realizing that he couldn't actually see her. "I'll wear one." She said, despite the fact that she hadn't unpacked her clothes, and she'd probably have to look around for an hour...it was probably time to unpack, but she was just too lazy. "See you then." She hung up without waiting for him to say goodbye, as she usually did...she liked having the last word. [/sup]

Joe had been about to ask her what kind of alcohol she enjoyed but she hung up, guess it would be up to him. Peach schnapps and vodka it was then.
