You know those gorgeous and expensive little cities you are always seeing catalogues and brochures for? Esperer Heights is one of those with, times a million when it comes to the vanity and reputation. Without any hidden secrets or ugly past, it was and still considers itself to be flawless. After the corruption circling neighbouring Gotham, many new people crossed the thing border in between and settled down in Esperer, where all the current citizens welcomed them with open arms. But, it was only a matter of time before Gotham’s influence and certain people migrated into the quickly developing area as well.
With the glitz of the upper east and dark corners of downtown, Esperer Heights is set in the perfect area for the wealthy and/or talented. Some of the most gifted students attend the academy & Ivy League University many of which come from America’s wealthiest and most powerful families. It’s no small wonder they’re called the elite, or crème de la crème. Partying and gossip are just a small part of the drama, while friendship and bonds are easily broken. But words like ‘talented’ and ‘gifted’ have many meanings and don’t always fit the definition that people start to think of. Within these halls both secrets and lies hang like clouds overhead.
Practically everyone has visited a Starbucks some time in his or her life. The drinks are known internationally as well as favoured above any other café. With so much variety, it’s no small wonder that Starbucks draws teens from every clique. In fact, the students actually have all their cliques based upon the menu. But, that’s not all Espérer has.
Young superheroes and villains mingle alongside regular teens, hidden behind a façade of being exactly the same. The heroes go beyond the norm of the stereotypical rebellious adolescents as they battle masked peers. The villains are those already ingeniously thinking of ways to take over the planet and be number one. As for the normal kids, well, they’re in the midst of all this drama.

And since we’re on that topic of drama, added to the mixture is Laura No Lies, a webzine based upon the students & citizens and the happenings surrounding them. Though some may think of her as the equivalent of ‘gossip girl’ since she’s there to expose it all, whoever she or he is, they do way worse. This is someone who goes farther than the whole ‘you know you love me’ and really trashes reputations until there is nothing left. Laura No Lies also organizes the school’s insatiable hunger for dares. Think it’s all fun and games?
Well, in this world of power and wealth mixed with talent and the normal—perfect balance is far from being achieved. It seems that drama will do everything to tear people apart, and it certainly is hard to keep up any firm foundation. The stress of high school just got thrown in with surreal crimes and violence. Automatically, one thinks of the polos, bubble gum pink, and unnaturally blonde girls. Full of school spirit and a yearning for making the A-list Crèmes, they’re not far behind from the top. Still, some just get too annoyed by their unwavering smiles and cheery attitudes.

They’re competitive, good-looking, and highly sought after, just like the drink they’re named after—though still second like the strawberries.

Then again, it doesn’t really matter who or what—but when and where. That is, when and where you’ll show your true colours. Maybe through a dare…or at one of those alcohol and sex filled parties? Well, you’ll do it someway. And when you do, I’ll be there to write it all down so everyone knows. After all, if it’s truth how is it gossip? I’m just here to open everyone’s eyes, because we all know that even where its crème de la creme there’s no such thing as a perfect situation~*.
