Rules & Guidelines for Students of Red Sky Academy:
I. Vandalism, theft, harassment and any threats of committing such acts will result in the cancellation of your privileges.
II. More than three unexplained absences will result in detention, in-school suspension, or out-of-school suspension if these instances continue.
III. While a definite school dress code is not in place, any outfits which are overly revealing (such as those that show the mid-driff, the area above the knee, or an excess of back) will be reported by the administration and the student in question will be forced to change into a proper outfit. Any clothes with inappropriate symbols, profanity, or other obscene imagery is also not acceptable.
IV. Discharge, display, or otherwise threatening use of any firearms, explosives, knives, or other weapons or any object that can reasonably be construed as a weapon on school premises is not allowed and will result in the immediate suspension of the student responsible.
V. Students who interfere with a teacher's ability to teach, or another student's ability to learn, will be reprimanded by the administration, and their punishment will be given depending on the severity of the disruption.
VI. Cell phones and other electronics are not to be taken out during school hours unless otherwise said by a teacher or administrator. Students who are caught with an unauthorized electronic device will have the device taken away from them for an indefinite period, and the student will receive detention.
VII. Activate a fire alarm without justification, or falsely report a fire, bomb, or any other threat the student does not believe to exist will result in that student's suspension.
III. A student shall not possess, sell, use, transmit, or be under the influence of any controlled substance, marijuana, alcoholic beverage, stimulant, or intoxicant of any kind on school property.
IX. Students must be on school property by 8:25 in the morning. Any student who is not in the school building at this time will be locked out and marked as absent. Students who are living in the school must be in their dorms by 9:00 at night, and the lock-out rule applies with this as well.
X. Any rules or protection of student rights that is not referenced here may be specified by an administrator or teacher if the situation calls, if the rule adheres to the New Jersey Education System Guidelines.
