DON'T STARE AT ME

Joseph is slightly taller then average and built quite muscular. He is six foot two and one hundred and eighty six pounds, runs at least three miles a day five days a week as well as a routine of crunches, pushups and curls to keep his body fit. His ego won’t let him let his body fall out of shape.

He keeps his face clean shaven at all times, feeling that it works better with his slight tan and brown eyes while he also has a bit of bleached blond in his brown hair.

His taste in fashion is a careful balance between expensive and comfortable. With designer jeans and comfortable t-shits, shoes that look good but are easy on the feet, often Converse are his retro choice.

I WON'T SHUT UP, I KNOW THAT I SHOULD

Joseph is a spoiled and self centered brat, his parents never really took the time to teach him anything in terms of morals or personal responsibility. This doesn’t mean that he lacks any morals it just means that he tends to ignore the little voice in the back of his head. He is self serving and selfish, he has always been able to get whatever he wanted and doesn’t see why that should ever change.

It goes without saying that he is an ego maniac, obsessed with his own self image and doesn’t take any kind of rejection very well. While he has yet to go as far as attacking anyone because they have rejected him there has been more then one occasion beaten up a romantic rival in a jealous rage, on one occasion going far enough to put the offending person in the hospital, only getting away with it because the student was at the private school on a scholarship and Joseph’s family took care of his medical bills in exchange for silence and avoiding charges.

He is sarcastic and quick on the insults, even if you haven’t done anything to him yet there is a good chance that he just insult you for the tiniest of slights. All of this though, his sarcasm and self serving nature are only a way for him to keep others at bay. Since he has never been close to anyone before he doesn’t know how to form any real lasting relationships.

Joseph can be incredibly charming when it suits him, with his father being a senator he ended up going to a lot of high class parties where he learned how to behave himself, he rarely does so for very long though, his short attention span makes acting charming grow rather dull quickly. He grows bored quickly and is always looking for some new way to amuse himself.

LIVING IN THE PAST

History: What is it like to grow up the son of a wealthy and powerful man who has no idea what kinds of rules of boundaries to set for you while your older brother is constantly out doing you in everything, well if you want to know that then you could ask Joseph.

From the time Joseph was born his parents hadn’t had much time for him, within a month of his birth his mother was in California working on a high profile case and his father was busy as the mayor of the moderate sized town they lived in. And as he grew older his parents grew even busier, his mother becoming a partner at the firm she worked for and his father eventually being elected to the United States Senate .

What little free time they did have was often spent praising Joseph’s older brother, two years his senior. When Joseph got an A his parents pointed out his brother’s grade had been even higher in the same class, when Joseph got a medal during Field Day his parents only mentioned that his brother had set a district record in the same event and two others.

Of course like anyone else outshined by an older and nearly perfect sibling Joseph found one way to get attention that he noticed working with other children he went to school with… he started acting out. This really didn’t work all that well for him because no matter how much he did his parents would only take enough notice to scold him and the private schools that he attended would never give the son of a senator more then a detention.

Of course that changed toward the end of the last semester when a new teacher at the school felt that Joseph had finally gone to far and needed to be punished. This new teacher had caught Joseph selling weed and coke to some freshman and was threatening to go to the papers with it if some action wasn’t finally taken.

So his father did the one thing that seemed like it had a chance of working, a school for troubled youths where Joseph might get his act together.

Dominic was late for his own class, but that hardly mattered to him, he was just going to try to make an impact on his students and by getting in there a little bit late, well more then a little, it would help. Besides if a few students walked out of the classroom then it was just his way of separating the people who are worthy of his brilliance from those who aren‘t.

Pausing outside the door Dominic used his phone to start playing a song by the Ramone’s as he walked right in. “I wanna be sedated…” He sang along as he pushed open the door and walked in, acting as though he didn‘t even notice the students that were there.

Instead of doing anything at all to acknowledge them Dom just walked up to the white board and wrote the name Hunter S. Thompson on it before turning off his music and facing the students. “That isn‘t my name students but that is a name I expect each of you to know before class tomorrow, that man did more for modern journalism then you know. Whether you like what you did or not he did change it. My name is Dominic Zane, but you can call me whatever you like. Welcome to a class that I think you will probably enjoy… because we are going to have a lot of fun here.”
