Joe stood up because he was going to be getting ready to leave before to long and for him to sit still for any amount of time at all, especially when the caffeine and coke were working through his system. "Yes but if the Fonzi smelled like the took a dip in a vat full of what freshmen try to use to entice any woman to sleep with them then then I doubt even the mighty Fonz would have been getting any at all." The second time since he sat down an old tv show had run through his head, he probably shouldn't have watched that TV land marathon that weekend, only done that because he hadn't known about any parties going on.
"Who cares where we go, have car and will drive quickly." Joe said with a pretty big grin as he started to walk towards the door and fished into his pocket for his keys, he didn't know if a Porsche would impress her or not but being in one was never something to be looked down on. He didn't peg her to be the anti consumerism type so he doubted the car would hurt. He had seen her thinking about his offer and was definitely very glad she accepted. "Life is to damn short to just plan ahead for everything you are doing, it is much more fun to just hop into the awesome car I have and drive where ever happens to catch our interest."

Cherry raised her eyebrows a little bit, "You're probably right." She said, although she had no idea who this "Fonzi" was. She was just going by the fact that axe smells like shit...well, too much axe. She wasn't really too into old television shows...when she did watch t.v. it was usually lame infomercials...because, well, she found them amusing. A bunch of people all trying to make a lame product seem like it was the coolest thing ever...well, it's just hilarious to her. She actually laughed at them, histerically, when she was alone. She didn't really like other people to hear her laugh all that much...
It was surprising that the idea even appealed to Cherry, but it did. She wasn't much of an impulsive person...but she wasn't going to back out, or anything. Driving around with no particular goal in mind sounded like a good idea to her...very out of character, but a good idea nonetheless. Maybe it was the coke. She followed him towards the door, walking a lot less stiffly than usual. "Sounds good to me." She said, wondering distantly what kind of car he had. Not that she really cared all that much...she wasn't a car person. Nice cars were always fun to drive in, though. A lot more than than the trashed up kind she used to have to drive in back home.

He wondered if she got the Happy Days reference, most people who were roughly his age didn't have the patience for any TV show without the most gorgeous people of the year making gooey eyes with each other. He just hoped that she wasn't the Gossip Girls type, when your life is similar to that the show has almost no draw, maybe if he was a twelve year old girl it would have been different though. "I am always right." He said, allowing his arrogance to slip through for a bit.
Now out the door and into the parking lot it was time for Joseph to see just how the car affected her, he knew some girls would be ready to strip down for any guy with a black Porsche Boxster and while that would be fun he hoped she wasn't that type, it was more fun to try to get close to someone without the money being the only factor.
Pulling his keys out he tapped the unlock button on the keys twice, making the cars horn beep for a moment and its lights flash, once would have unlocked it but twice was to draw her attention to the car without having to walk over to it. "Of course it sounds good, why sit around in a Starbucks until you are going to need to go to a class when there is someone you just met ofering to drive you to a random place to do whatever." Joe chuckled at that thought as he slid into the driver side of the car and leaned over to open the passenger side for her.

Cherry was hoping he was kidding about the always being right comment...people who seriously thought they were always right. It just annoyed her to death...but she was trying to be nice to this guy, or at least nicer than usual, as he was being nice to her, so she decided just not to say anything at all...just like what all the teachers used to say in Elementary school. if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all, and all that jazz. Cherry didn't usually listen to such rules, but she decided to in this once case.
As she walked out the door, she looked around, wondernig what car was his. her question, however, was quickly answered as one of the cars beeped, and the lights flashed. It was a beautiful car, to say the least. She was definitely impressed...even though she wasn't the type of girl who would try to sleep with a guy just because he had a nice car, and probably lots of money to go with the nice car. She wasn't very superficial at all...although looks and things did matter a bit, they weren't the only thing that mattered. She'd dated some seriously gorgeous guys, but they always ended up being douche bags in the end...cheating on her for some tall beautiful model type girl. So she tended not to take looks in account for who she would befriend...not that she befriended many people.
"Nice car." She murmured, getting into it carefully. She didn't want to break anything, or whatever. Even though he didn't exactly seem like a neat freak or anything. She shut the door, then looked around the car. It really was a nice car...probably the best she'd ever drove in. Not that she really got to drive in many good cars. "I'm guessing you didn't buy this with your own money?" She raised her eyebrows a little bit, looking at him. She wondered what a guy with a car like this could possibly be doing at reforming school...unless he was here for something really bad, or something. Not that she really cared what he was 'in for'.

Joseph had silently cursed himself for the always right comment, though he felt that he always as right he knew that most people didn't agree with him on that one. Though he had spent yars perfecting his charming act he would from time to time let it slip by mistake. She didn't say anything about it though so he just grinned, hoping that she would assume it had been a joke of some kind.
Well it seemed like the car wasn't anything that turned her away from him, he had heard about that kind of thing before but never experienced it and was now convinced that it was some kind of myth, not every girl was superficial but it didn't seem like there was any sort or anti-superficiality.
"Yea it is a nice car." He chuckled, he felt that was sort of an understatement but he wasn't going to just tell her that. With a small smirk on his lips he started the car taking a moment to savor the vibrations of the engine before pressing the button to lower the roof, it was a nice enough day to enjoy it. "My parents got me the car as a bribe to make sure I came here without causing any major problems for them, trust fund won't kick in till I turn eighteen."

Once he said that it was obvious to her that her suspicions were correct. He was obviously rich...not just someone who could save up money really well. Anyone who's parents were going to buy their kid such a nice car were either overly generous, or completely rich...or they just really wanted him to go to the school, but she highly doubted it. She, herself, had been saving up for a car for years back home, and was just about to have enough when her dad sent her here...so she was car-less, much to her dismay. She wondered distantly what happened to that money, the money she had been saving up since forever. The money she hid in a box under her bed. She hoped her brothers found it, not her dad. They wouldb e a lot more responsible with it, even if they were only fifteen years old.
She let her hands wander to the dashboard for a moment, then touched it. No dust. It was obviously very new. "Your parents sure know how to bribe." She commented, smirking a little bit. She'd never really been bribed in her life...well, not by her dad. Probably because she always just did what he said, in order to avoid a fight. No matter how much she loved fights, both verbal and physical, she hated them with her dad. Little fights with anyone else were always fun, though...or big ones. She preferred verbal, as physical fights weren't exactly her strong point, due to her lack of muscles...she had been in a few cat fights, in her day, though.
She was oddly at ease in a strange car...with a guy who was pretty much a stranger. Then again, she was always pretty good at feeling at ease...as long as she wasn't around her dad. Or anyone like her dad, really. So in other words middle aged guys scared the living shit out of her, if she was forced to be with them alone. So, luckily for her, this guy looked to be about her age. She looked out the window, watching everything go by, not really sure of what to say. She didn't really mind silences, as long as they weren't awkward.

"They might know how to bribe but they know nothing about parenting." Joe said with the irnoy in his voice quite obvious. If he had known about the home situation that cherry came from he might not be so quick to complain about his own parents but knowing his selfish personality he would still be down on his own parents and the lack of attention that he got from them. HE got the bribes while his brother got the real affection, if it wasn't for the fact that they were both always very careful about what they said he knew one would have let slip that he had been a mistake, he joked with his friends that the money to fund his dads campaign had come from a settlement with a condom company after a broken rubber.
He smiled a little to himself as she ran her hands over the dash and he started the music with a button of the steering wheel, the smile was because of how nice it was to see someone impressed by money while the people he called friends back home thought a Porsche was basic and boringish. The smile only grew larger because of the song that randomly came over the cars built in MP3 player... a little NIN.
you let me violate you you let me desecrate you you let me penetrate you you let me complicate you
help me i broke apart my insides help me i've got no soul to sell help me the only thing that works for me help me get away from myself
i want to fuck you like an animal i want to feel you from the inside i want to fuck you like an animal my whole existence is flawed you get me closer to god
"So where do you feel like going?" He asked with a grin as he pulled out of the parking lot. "We got a park in the area, a museum, or a mall." If she said museum there was a good chance he would just go mall, he felt like he could use new shoes.

Cherry knew for a fact that most parents who bribed their kids so much didn't know much about parenting...bribing did nothing, in most situations. She wasn't about to say that, or anything, as she had never been bribed in her life...and it would make her sound like she was some kind of parent or something. She wasn't, though...just a really good older sister who felt constantly responsible for her little brothers...even now that she was so far away from them she couldn't help but wonder how they were doing. Instead of ranting about how bribary was a horrible form of parenting, she just nodded. "Most parents don't, these days." She said, with a bit of a sigh. It was true, from what she'd seen...it was so hard to find decent parents, lately. It was kind of sad. She had a feeling that if she ever grew up to have a husband and a family she wouldn't be the best mom ever...probably because she'd never had a mom. She wouldn't have anything to base how she was supposed to be off from.
Cherry couldn't help but smile a little bit at the song...it was one she knew well. She actually had been completely addicted to Nine Inch Nails a few years back, so she knew the song almost by heart. "Oh god...Nine Inch Nails. Haven't heard this song in ages," She murmured, looking out the window still.
She glanced at him as he spoke, then shrugged a bit. "Um...I don't know. The mall, I guess." She wasn't too into museum's...not at all. Art museums were okay, sometimes, but only on a really boring day when there was nothing better to do. And parks were just...no. Boring. The mall sounded like a much better option, even if she didn't exactly have any money to spend. Well, she had a bit, but she was saving it for emergency's...

"Most people get a TV and a game system as a baby sitter." Joseph was happy to point out. "I of course got a Portuguese immigrant by the name of Rosa who didn't speak any English, she also cleaned the penthouse." It was such a twisted contrast there, while people seemed to think that having parents who would sit you down in front of a TV all day long would make you a bad person Joseph had the theory that it was having parents that just didn't give a fuck, it had made him the excellent little criminal that he was.
You can have my isolation You can have the hate that it brings You can have my absence of faith You can have my everything
help me tear down my reason help me it's your sex i can smell help me you make me perfect help me think of somebody else
Another fan of NIN, it was always nice to meet one, their music had been perhaps his least creative but most enjoyable form of rebellion and it had lead to even more. "I started listening to them when my parents decided the family should go back to church when gearing up for my dads senate run." He said with a small chuckle. "The youth minister at the church gave a lecture on evil secular music and NIN was at the top of the naughty list... so I bought every album they had."
i want to fuck you like an animal i want to feel you from the inside i want to fuck you like an animal my whole existence is flawed
you get me closer to god
The mall sounded like a good idea to him, the park would really get boring rather quickly because there wasn't much he was into that could be done there in broad day light... well it could be but it would probably take time to persuade a girl to try that. "The mall works for me." He said quite cheerfully as he cut a very illegal and quick uturn across a few lanes of traffic, ignoring the horns that blared. "I could use some new shoes."

"Ugh, don't even get me started on that!" She said, her voice sounding loud. She didn't usually have a very loud voice, but it could be when she got emotional. "That really grinds my bones. Parents just sit their kids in front of a fucking cartoon, and go into their basements and get drunk, and high, and all that good stuff, and then they complain when their kids end up climbing into the cupboards and cutting all their hair off." She sighed a little bit, knowing she probably sounded like some kind of mother, ranting about how horrible other mothers were, but not really caring. Kids needed attention to grow up and be functional...she knew that. It was probably part of the reason she was such a fuck up.
She found herself tapping her foot in time with the music, but she was hardly conscience of it. It was just one of those things that happened without any notification of the brain. "Well, aren't you just the little rebel?" She raised her eyebrows a bit, a small smirk playing on her lips. "What's next, offering coke to some poor, sweet, defenseless girl in starbucks? Or have you already done that?" Of course she knew she was anything but sweet...or really, defenseless. Even if she wasn't exactly the strongest person ever, and most people could out power her, she still knew a few tricks. Not many, but a few.
As he did the completely illegal u-turn she snapped on her seat belt quickly. "You're crazy." She said, but she wasn't all that surprised. He did, after all, go to reforming school. Maybe he had done a million illegal u-turns after stealing cars...although she doubted it. He didn't really seem like the grand theft auto type...she actually figured he was probably just a druggie, or a dealer, or something. No big deal. She'd met a ton of those in her life time.

It seemed like he had found some pet peeve of hers, maybe she intended to be some sort of childhood education major or that sort of thing, either way it seemed like it might be a subject he would want to avoid unless he was in the mood to cause some kind drama. He did however file that little tidbit away for later because it was always interesting to know what buttons to press. Most people never knew how easy it was to get someone to go from angry to aroused. "Those are the more mild things that can happen..." He pointed out, his voice a little bit bland and lacking the hint of private amusement that could normally be found there. Columbine had probably happened because of neglectful parents. "So did you look out for anyone before you ended up here." He was a bit curious about the root of what led to her very strong feelings on the topic.
"My short term memory isn't amazing but I recall a very attractive young lady who I coerced into trying a little bit of cocaine." He teased her with a grin. "I think next on the list is a tattoo or piercing that won't be seen with my shirt still on." He had been considering that one for a while but no way he would get any metal through his favorite body part.
"You should have been buckled up to begin with." He pointed out as he revved the engine before moving up into the next gear. "I have a car worth more then what some people make in a year, why would I bother obeying the rules that are ment for other people?"

She sighed a little bit, and crossed her arms. She was kind of hoping that this guy wouldn't have to hear about her screwed up home life, but her brothers didn't have much to do with that. They weren't what made everything all messed up...they were the only good thing from back then, really. The only good thing, ever, if she was being honest. "My little brothers." She admitted, with a shrug of her shoulders as though it was no big deal. Not that they need that much looking after anymore, they're both fifteen now." At least she hoped they wouldn't need much looking after...as her dad certainly wasn't going to do it. He didn't even really look after her when she was little, that was mostly her grandmother, once her mom died. "I helped out with them a lot, I suppose." It was the understatement of the year, but she just wanted to leave as much of her home life at home as she could.
"Oh really? Attractive, was she?" She couldn't help but smile a little bit...she was a sucker for compliments, at times. Even if they were just as simple as being called attractive. "Good luck with that one." She said, laughing a little bit. Cherry actually had both her lips, and hips pierced...both had hurt quite a lot, but she wasn't going to say that. She'd never actually gotten a tattoo, though, and didn't have any plans to...well, not immediately. Mostly just cause she didn't have the money. Her piercings were done at parties, with people she used to consider friends.
"Right. You're the the king of the world, you know no rules." She said it in a slightly sarcastic way, but she really didn't care all that much. It wasn't like she was a police, or anything, why the fuck should she care if the guy was going to drive like a maniac? She shouldn't. She didn't.

It seemed like he had hit a nasty little topic for her, once again he filed that for later on, he really didn't like to use any blackmail but he knew that it always paid to know what you could about anyone you met, a friend today might not be a friend tomorrow, that little lesson had come from the week he had spent at a military school before being caught in bed with the comedants daughter. "Wish I had a sibling like you when I was growing up." He lied smoothly, his brother had at times tried to be like a parent to him but that was just something that Joseph had resented, he wanted his parents not someone to just stand in for them and try to take the place of people who were around.
"Well considering I was sober I would definitely trust my judgment on that." He was glad to see that the compliment had gotten through with that one.
"I don't see any tattoos, you got some interesting piercings anywhere?" That one was a bit of a shot in the dark but he was hoping that the cocaine might have made her a bit more open then most people might normally be. He could see the ones on her lips and while a lot of people couldn't pull them off they did work for her.
He chuckled a little bit as he swerved around the cars, quickly growing closer to the mall. "Anyone can be the king of the world." He said noticing her sarcastic tone. "You just have to be willing to reach out and take whatever it is you like, rules are for those who want to follow them."

Cherry nodded, deciding to drop the subject. She often wished she didn't have to be like she was growing up...she wondered if she would be a different kind of person if she had a slightly normal childhood. Probably. Maybe she wouldn't be so cold...not that she was being particularly cold to this guy. She was actually being really nice, considering how she treated some people...she was known far and wide by everyone in her old school as a bitch, and she wouldn't disagree with them...but she couldn't bring herself to be mean to this guy. Probably because he wasn't really being mean to her...as much as it surprised her, he made it to her almost non existant good side. The one she often claimed she didn't have.
She couldn't help but laugh at his question, even though it wasn't funny. It just reminded her of when she got her hips pierced, which was pretty funny. She'd met a guy at a party, who claimed his mom did piercings, and said he would do her hips for free. She allowed him to, as she wasn't exactly sober, so her judgment wasn't the best...and then, once it was done he expect her to sleep with him...she would have normally said yes, but her hips were kind of sore, and it would have made her feel like a hooker, or something, so she just spilled her drink on the poor guy and told him to fuck off.
"Actually, I have my hips pierced." She said, pulling up the front of her shirt just a little bit. She loved showing them off, even if it was just to complete strangers...she was very proud of them...mostly of the fact that they hadn't gotten infected, even though they were done by some random guy who's name she couldn't even remember. "What about you?" She asked, putting her shirt back down. "Any piercings? Can't be a rebel without piercings. It's in the hand book, or something."
"I prefer to follow the rules..." She mumbled, hoping he didn't get them in an accident or something. She'd rather not...die, or anything...even if her life did suck at times, she wasn't exactly ready for it to be over.

No remark to his lie about how he had wished he had an older sibling like her, he really doubted that she knew he was lying, he did it every day straight to the faces of people who had known him for years and was very good at it, seemed like it was just a subject that she wasn't all that fond of or had grown tired of.
"Those are pretty unique." He pointed out with a grin, he had seen that sort of thing once before but he was pretty sre that those had been infected, the puss seeping from it had been a rather strong hint and an incredible turn on but Joseph found things like that to be a pretty big turn on in most cases. Piercings in places like that made a person different and different was never boring, at least not at first. "I on the other hand haven't had a piercing since I did my eyebrow and left nip with safety pins back in the sixth grade... but I got tired of them and took them out after a few weeks."
Speeding through the parking lot Joe barely stole a parking spot from a mini van that had been about to take it before turning to look directly at Cherry. "The rules are ment for those who decide to follow them Cherry... I think that I should teach you a bit more about that." It might be fun to try to corrupt her. "Taking the coke showed you have some stones... wanna try to have some real fun here?"
